Tupelo Mississippi Wedding Photographers – Mallory and Steven – Married!

Being a part of Mallory and Steven’s fall wedding was a match made in heaven for us. All things Mr. Fantastic Fox and the numerous vintage and handmade details set the day apart like any other, but the real kicker was the couple themselves. These two wonderfully humorous and sweet people made us fit right in like we were family. Mallory and I spent the morning catching light and smiles at her childhood home, then we caught up with the rest of the crew back at the historical All Saints Episcopal Church in Downtown Tupelo (it just so happens to be 2 doors down from MY childhood home). After a beautiful and intimate ceremony at sunset we journeyed back to Mallory’s parents home for dancing, chatting, and lots and lots of cake eating! Oh and can’t forget to mention the bootlegging that took place for this shindig…or maybe I will leave out the details, but there was plenty of good “non-mississippi” beer. Everything from the portraits of Mr. and Mrs. Squirrel to Steven’s delightfully ‘bloody’ Frankenstein cake, this day was the Hambys dream day. Casey is still wanting to meet up with Steven for a baseball card swap (Mallory’s wedding day gift to him). Truly a favorite day for Lovely Union that included our favorite ring shot ever! The opportunity to photograph two of your favorite people on the planet is a gift. One that is not only rare, but surprising when you don’t even truly know them until you photograph their engagement photos. Katelyn and Warner are two amazing individuals who make one of the coolest couples we’ve ever had the privilege to photograph. Their personal humors compliment the humor they have together. We have an undeniable blast with them every time we are around the Russells. There is a tenderness in each of their smiles and it is obvious that they share the majority their time with the people that they only truly love. Their wedding was one of these instances. The amazing design of cranberry, gold, and grey made their late fall wedding one to remember. Katelyn and Warner were surrounded by love, exuded love, and relished in all of that love. The beautiful ceremony, where they read love letters to one another, was something so out of the ordinary it was hard to keep shooting from the tears in my eyes. From the Team Bride and Team Groom buttons, to the sister wives and Warner serenading his new wife with amazing renditions of ‘Ain’t to Proud to Beg’ and ‘Ice Ice Baby’ the Russell’s wedding day was one of our favorites of all time. Beautiful Lauren and her handsome Garrig were married in the fall. Their day was simply amazing. From her perfect dress and as she called them “George Washington Shoes” to their matching Ray bans, everything fit their personalities to a T. The newest Shields were elegant, ravishing, and endearing all day. They could be professional models. It’s a rarity to find a couple who compliment each other so well and who are so exquisitely gorgeous. Lauren and Garrig made our job easier than ever and gave us the time of our lives while shooting. It was great to be able to see the smiles on their faces from the time they saw each other in a “secret garden” to the time they said We do and finally when they began to dance the night away. These two are a special pair and we are so happy we got to share in their journey to marriage. Happy Thursday, y’all! Off to Houston to visit our friend, Birwin. Enjoy!

What a stunning couple! Krissy and Chris were married earlier this fall at the Chapel of Memories. Krissy called just a couple weeks before their big day with a frantic voice and no photographer. Thankfully we were available. We were the lucky ones in the end. Their sweet love for each other and all those around them was shining very brightly on their wedding day. Rudy and Marley are wonderful. These two are a perfect fit for each other and their wedding day was beautiful. We braved the end of Summer heat to capture a few outside shots and I am so grateful that we did. We would have missed out on a great game of Rock, Paper, Scissors if we had stayed indoors! Beautiful Elizabeth and handsome Joel were married late this summer. These two adorable people endured a whole lot of rain for their big day to eventually go off without a hitch. They just wouldn’t be kept apart! The rain did keep all of us inside for the better part of the day though, but we made the most of it and the newlyweds stayed in high spirits. Joel kept Elizabeth (and Casey and me) laughing the entire day and Elizabeth just radiated with beauty. These two sweethearts made our job more fun than ever. Jessica and David’s wedding day was sweet and stress free. Jessica is effortlessly laid back and David is similar in his stature. These two make an unmistakably wonderful couple. Even in the middle of her nursing boards, Jessica made planning and scheduling easy. The summer heat didn’t phase them either. We had an absolutely great time on their journey to get married. It was also a blast to be with Jessica’s best friends again. One of whom we photographed last fall, Anna Killingsworth. We could spend any Saturday with those girls and know it’s going to be amazing! Finally, we wrap up Maddie + Ryan’s sweet posts with their wedding! It was a beautiful day on campus at Mississippi State and with spirits running high the day went ever so smoothly. Maddie’s look was perfected by her “Something Blue” feather and Ryan’s by a beautiful new wife on his arm. These two have been amazing to work with and like I’ve said in the past one of the reasons why we stay in this crazy world of weddings. The newest Pressleys kept smiles on our faces the entire time we worked together. The day that Maddie called and said, “It’s gotta be you guys. I’ve made up my mind already,” was one of the most validating days of my career in photography. A sweet girl I’d known my entire life changed my whole outlook on why I chose to capture peoples journey to marriage in the first place. Thank ya, Thank ya very much, Mrs. Pressley. The long overdue…TEAM FANCY FEET is back! Sweet Tracie Grace and her dear groom, Brandon, gave us a brilliant time back in June. These two SUPER in love people are SUPER fun. For example, the gradient in the bridesmaids dresses, how fun is that? What made the day even better was that every second Brandon wasn’t within 5 inches of Tracie Grace it was obvious there was a part of him that was missing. He couldn’t take his eyes off of her all day and made sure she was happy every second! Their laughter was more and more contagious as the day went on and their mad dancing skills kept them going all night! The new Riesgos are lucky in love and unabashedly aware of the gifts they have been given in each other. It was a joy to be a part of the beginning of such an amazing journey for these two. I’m thrilled every time I see the smiles on their faces in these images. Happy, happy Friday! Don’t forget that we were all given gifts that we’ll never understand, but when we have love we have an inkling of what it feels like to understand. I know I was reminded of that this week from a few trials of the heart, just as I was reminded of it by Tracie Grace and Brandon Riesgo!! Enjoy!

Sweet, sweet Adam and even sweeter Paige got married in June. These two are so adorably in love. Paige’s laid back attitude matched Adam’s all day. Just like I mentioned a few months ago when we shot their engagement session, the newest Lochridge pair seamlessly and effortlessly made their love for each other obvious. The culmination of their big day came together seemingly effortless and absolutely beautiful. As Southern as sweet tea, Paige and Adam celebrated with traditionally Southern touches including beautiful hydrangeas and an Ole Miss groom’s cake. Paige carried herself with such grace and elegance all day and Adam was the perfect gentleman. He even let Ted, the teddy bear, join in! We are so thrilled that we got to share in something so amazingly comforting. Paige and Adam’s wedding is one reason that reminds us why Mississippi will always, always be home. Happy Monday! Enjoy!
